부경대학교(총장 김영섭)와 부산대학교(총장 차정인)가 대학원에 국립대학 간 공동학위과정인 ‘산업데이터공학융합전공’을 신설해 오는 9월부터 운영에 들어간다.

김동준 부경대 학무부총장과 박홍원 부산대 교육부총장은 지난 2일 오후 부산대 본관 3층 대회의실에서 이를 위한 공동학위과정 협정식을 개최했다.

신설되는 ‘산업데이터공학융합전공’은 부경대 시스템경영공학과와 기술경영학과, 부산대 산업공학과가 공동으로 맡아 부경대 15명, 부산대 10명 등 총 25명의 교수진이 커리큘럼을 구성하기로 했다.

이 전공에 입학하는 석·박사과정생 50명(석사 39명, 박사 11명)은 부경대와 부산대 모두에서 자유롭게 다양한 전공 수업을 선택해 듣고, 두 대학의 공동학위를 받을 수 있게 된다.

양 대학은 이 전공을 통해 최근 사회적 수요가 급증하고 있는 빅데이터 분야의 이론과 부산·경남의 지역 산업인 물류·제조 분야 응용을 중점적으로 가르칠 계획이다.

특히 빅데이터와 산업 분야 간의 융합기술을 이용해 물류·제조에서 생산되는 실제 데이터를 분석하고, 물류·제조 생산 효율을 증대시키기 위한 전반적인 기초 학문과 신기술 기반 산업응용 학문, 산학협력 및 실습을 기반으로 한 융합전공을 공동운영한다.

김동준 부경대 학무부총장은 “이번 공동학위과정 운영으로 양 국립대학의 우수 교수진과 인프라를 적극 활용해 빅데이터와 산업 분야의 현장밀착형 인재를 키우는 계기가 마련될 것으로 기대한다.”며, “우수 인재 양성은 물론 적극적인 산학협력을 통해 지역의 R&D 경쟁력과 발전역량을 키우는 기반을 다지는 데 양 대학이 적극 힘쓰겠다.”라고 말했다.

Pukyong National University (President Kim Young-seup) and Pusan National University (President Cha Jeong-in) will start the program in September, when they finish establish a ’Convergent Major of Industrial Data Engineering’, a joint degree program at graduate school in both national universities.

Kim Dong-joon, the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Pukyong National University and Park Hong-won, the Vice President of Education at Pusan National University, held  agreement ceremony for joint degree program on the afternoon, 2nd of July in the conference room on the 3rd floor of the main building of Pusan National University.

The newly establishing  ’Convergent Major of Industrial Data Engineering’ is jointly organized by the Department of System Management, Department of Management of Technology from Pukyong National University and Department of Industrial Engineering from Pusan National University, and a total of 25 professors, including 15 from Pukyong National University and 10 from Pusan National University, will form a curriculum.

50 students (39 masters, 11 doctors) who are admitted to this major will be able to freely choose various major classes from both Pukyong National University and Pusan National University and receive joint degrees from both universities.

These two universities plan to focus on the theory of the big data field through this major, where social demand has recently increased rapidly, and the application of the logistics and manufacturing fields, which are regional industries in Busan and Gyeongnam.

In particular, it analyzes actual data produced in logistics and manufacturing using convergence technology between big data and industry, and based on overall basic studies and new technology-based industrial application studies, industry-academic cooperation, and practice to increase production efficiency of logistics and manufacturing. Jointly operating a convergent major.

Kim Dong-joon, the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Pukyong National University, said, "We expect that this joint degree program will provide an opportunity to cultivate on-the-job talents in the big data and industrial fields by actively utilizing the excellent faculty and infrastructure of both national universities. Both universities will actively strive to build a foundation for fostering regional R&D competitiveness and development capabilities through active industrial-educational cooperation as well as producing outstanding individuals."

Park Hong-won, Vice President of Education Affairs at Pusan National University, said, "The establishment of the ’Convergent Major of Industrial Data Engineering’  jointly operated by representative national universities in Busan is meaningful in that it has presented a new model of regional university development, which is inferior in terms of budget and scale to metropolitan universities." and he explained additionally, "The two universities will make more efforts to promote the successful operation and development of convergent majors through BK21, the government’s representative support program for graduate school."
