Guideline of Graduation

Thesis-based Master’s Degree
  • Proficiency test of English language: achieving 70 or above out of 100 points or achieving the score in the official TOEIC, TOEFL, or etc (this score will be specified by the Graduate School Committee)
  • Graduation examination: pass in minimum 3 selected subjects (including 2 required subjects, minimum each point of 70 out of the maximum of 100 points)
  • Submit a master’s thesis with acceptance of minimum 3 referees
Project-based Master’s Degree
  • Proficiency test of English language: achieving 70 or above out of 100 points or achieving the score in the official TOEIC, TOEFL, or etc (this score will be specified by the Graduate School Committee)
  • Graduation examination: pass in minimum 5 selected subjects (including 2 required subjects, minimum each point of 70 out of the maximum of 100 points)
  • Submit a project report with acceptance of minimum 3 referees
Doctoral course
  • Proficiency test of English language: achieving 70 or above out of 100 points or achieving the score in the official TOEIC, TOEFL, or etc (this score will be specified by the Graduate School Committee)
  • Graduation examination: pass in minimum 5 selected subjects (including 2 required subjects, minimum each point of 70 out of the maximum of 100 points)
  • Submit a doctoral dissertation with acceptance of minimum 5 referees

Proficiency Test and Graduation Examination

Eligibility
  • English proficiency test: Students who have registered for at least 2 semesters and acquired a minimum of 15 credits
  • Graduation examination
    • Thesis-based master’s students: at least 3 semesters and minimum of 18 credits acquired
    • Project-based master’s students: at least 4 semesters and minimum of 27 credits acquired
    • Doctoral students: at least 4 semesters and minimum of 27 credits acquired
Application
  • Student who need to take the English proficiency test and the graduation examination must submit the completed application form (accompanying documents no. 5 form, no.5-1) and pay test fees by the date indicated.
Examination Period
  • The English proficiency test and the graduation examination is offered at the beginning of the semester. Matters about examination will be determined by dean of graduate school and noticed before 3 weeks of taking the exam.

Thesis and Project Report

Graduation Directory Committee for thesis and project
  • Thesis-based master’s students must organize the committee within 3 professors or experts including the student’s advisory professor to supervise a master thesis at the beginning of the 3rd semester and inform dean of graduate school.
  • Project-based master’s students must organize the committee within 3 professors or experts including the student’s advisory professor to supervise a project report at the beginning of the 4th semester and inform dean of graduate school.
  • Doctoral students must organize the committee within 3 professors or experts including the student’s advisory professor to supervise a doctoral thesis at the beginning of the 4th semester and inform dean of graduate school.
Eligibility for submitting a thesis/dissertation and project report
  • Thesis-based master’s students can submit their thesis when they have a recommendation from an advisory professor after they have minimum credits and have passed English proficiency test and graduation examination, and must be qualified at leat 1 of results as below.
    • Published one journal paper in domestic or international academic journal as the 1st author
    • Presented one proceeding paper in domestic or international conference as the 1st author
  • Project-based master’s students can submit their project report when they have a recommendation from an advisory professor after they have minimum credits and have passed English proficiency test and graduation examination.
  • Doctoral students can submit their thesis when they have a recommendation from an advisory professor after they have minimum credits and have passed English proficiency test and graduation examination, and must be qualified at leat 1 of results as below.
    • Published more than 2 journal papers in domestic or international academic journal as the 1st author
    • Published more than 1 journal paper in SCI(E), SSCI or SCOPUS-level academic journal as the 1st author
